Whether you are a student, a business, an educator or a nonprofit you can help us launch Careerockit. One of the easiest ways to participate is to spread the word and encourage educators and businesses to sign-up.

What is an experience?

An experience is an activity that exposes participants to a specific career, company or industry. Experience types range from job shadows, which work better for smaller groups or individuals, to tours and activities, which work well for medium to large size groups. Experiences should have clear learning objectives that relate to the job, industry or company you are showcasing.

What does participating entail?

By registering, educators are committing to participate in a career experience designed especially for them. Educators will provide details about their availability, travel restrictions and areas of interest among other things.

Businesses and employers are committing to designing an engaging and exciting experience for the number of experiences they’ve selected. The week of Careerockit, businesses and employers will host their classrooms and student groups the day and time previously arranged by them and the educator.

What happens after I register?

After registering, classrooms and businesses will be matched. Once they are matched, they will receive contact information and have time to finalize all the details. Matching will take place Nov. 1 – Dec. 15.

How will classrooms and student groups be matched with businesses and employers?

Classrooms and student groups are matched with businesses and employers through Careerockit.com. Businesses and employers shop for classrooms and student groups that meet the criteria for the type of experiences they can host. Classroom details, like school and teacher name, remain anonymous prior to the match to ensure all classrooms and student groups have the opportunity to match with all businesses and employers.
